The First Blog

Hello reader! No matter how you stumbled upon this blog, I’m super glad you’re here. ‘Where is here’ I hear you asking. Here is the home of all things jewellery, vintage and small business. With this blog I hope to share with you the ups and downs of being a small business owner in 2022; the fascinating history behind jewellery creation in the past; tips for maintaining and getting the most out of your gorgeous jewellery; and just generally use this as a platform to engage more with my audience and customers.

A little bit about myself

I should probably tell you a little bit about who I am. My name is Trine and I set up Vintage Love in November 2018, finally going full time in the summer of 2020 (in the middle of a pandemic, I know). I had escaped the corporate world to do what I was passionate about, with no intentions of looking back. My interest in antiques and customer interaction is rooted in the time I spent in my mum’s antique and jewellery shop, Birgit (fittingly named after her) where I grew up in Mariager, Denmark in the 1970s. Vintage Love today is still heavily inspired by my childhood with my mother and my Danish background. It’s an absolute joy to be able to share my culture with customers in the form of beautiful, earth conscious accessories as it means both my heritage and the preloved materials will live on for many more years.

Why am I blogging?

I wanted to start a blog this year as part of a rebrand, in honour of my late mother who I sadly lost last December. This year, my love for my business and what I do has grown even stronger and I promise to keep ‘Trading and Talking’ on her behalf for years to come. Of course, it’s not the 70s anymore so the ‘talking’ half of my promise can be fulfilled in more ways than one. Blogging is important to me as it’s my way of engaging more with online customers, and hopefully having them all important ‘chit-chats’ in a different way.

My goal with this blog is to let you in on the behind-the-scenes aspects of Vintage Love and form a stronger bond with my customer base. I also want to discuss how to look after your accessories and help you choose your perfect jewellery. I value each and every customer that visits me at my markets, my online shop, or even just engages with my posts online.

Get involved

I will happily respond to any questions and requests in my blog if you would like that. If you want your question to be featured in my blog just add a little note to the bottom of your submission on the Contact Us page. I can’t wait to be able to use this platform to connect with my supporters.
